We had 73 kids this year. The temperature was still too low for the foggers, but at least we kept sound. The CD player was in the house with the speakers run outside. Other sound was provided by MP3 players. More than half of the TOTs came before full dark, so there was nobody working in the yard. We had a lull, so I grabbed the kids for their own TOT and missed the next 20-ish kids. Eight of the rest of the kids came in 1 group an hour and a half after we got back, and they caught us by surprise. I had actually pulled the strobe lights in the house and was working on shutting down. We did get some scares and screams, even without the staff in the yard. At one point, we had more than 20 people walking the paths. It was nice seeing my yard that full. One of the tombstones, with a centipede crawiling on it. This lasted right up until a little boy nunchucked it to death. More below the fold. |

Her arms hide it from the front, but she does look feminine in person. |

His shoulders are a bit too 'boxy', but overall, I'm happy. |

Lesson learned: When you create an animated monster mud prop, always leave yourself an access panel to re-set the gears and reattach the wires. Storage plays hell with wooden gears. Pics below the fold. |
