Well, tonight, it was 30 degrees at 5pm, dropped down to 25 by 8:00.
Cold, cold, cold. Too cold for the tape players and cd player to
work. Only one of the foggers managed to warm up enough to work.

I had 3 adults and 4 kids(7-13) helping in the haunt. We had between
60-70 TOTs, and it was over by 8. There were no "accidents" and no
thrown candy, mainly because the older kids decided not to brave the
weather.

So, there were lots of cold-related problems, but we got at least 20
more kids than last year, and everyone had a great time.

I lost my digital camera in my pile of prop supplies, so I don't have a lot of pics.
The night shots are improved from last year, but not by much.
Imp The mildy animatronic monster-mud imp. The measurements are from my son. There is a motion sensor attached that turns the head with a wiper motor.
A second shot of the monster mud Imp. Imp
TOTs A shot down the neck of the imp showing the disc I attached to the PVC pipe to make it spin. You can also see the duct tape I used to mount the wiper moter. Many thanks to Scary Terry and Flying Pig.
A Final shot of the imp. Imp
Imp Another final of the imp. This one is blurry because I was trying to get a shot of the eyes lit up. I should have done it during the day.
A shot down the neck of the imp, showing the linkage I used to turn the head. Imp
Bottomless pit A side shot of my bottomless pit. I made a hexagon out of 2x4s because I want the final product to be round.
Straight down the bottomless pit, minus the mirrors. Bottomless pit
Bottomless pit A side shot of the stones in the pit.
This is my staff. It's a before shot. I have 2 dozen cardboard cutouts to vamp-ify. Inanimate staff

My child-sized, mildy animatronic, monster mud imp. His eyes light up and he turns to look at you when you walk past his BBQ pit of human flesh Imp
Pillar of Pain A new shot of my Pillar of Pain from last year.
